Our Client, a Gold Mining Company is looking for the position:
Finance /Accounting Superintendent (FA-SUPT)
Reporting to the Senior Manager Project Development, the Senior Accountant will be accountable for all aspects of the site accounting function including all day to day accounting processes, fortnightly, monthly and quarterly reporting and budget/general ledger reconciliations.
Your duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
· Ensure that all activities are conducted safely in accordance with the Project's EH&S Policies and Procedures.
- Assist in the development of systems and processes for managing the Project's accounting function
- Manage day to day accounting processes including:
- Allocating costs to the appropriate cost centres
- Overseeing compliance with expenditure approval levels
- Managing petty cash expenditures within guidelines
- Conduct bank reconciliations
- Assisting Department Managers in preparing monthly budgets and cash calls
- Managing the payment of the local payroll
- Coordinate Jamsostek deductions and payments
- Accounts Payable
- Monthly and Bi-Weekly reporting on project costs and reconciliations of actual against budget expenditure to Department Managers.
- Manage employee performance
Working Conditions/Environment
The role will work on a fly-in fly-out basis (East Java) from point of hire and work a 28 days on, 14 days off roster, 10 hour day. The Company provides accommodation and meals.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- Accounting Degree
- Minimum five (5) years experience overseeing a small to medium accounting function
- Exposure to the mining industry an advantage as will be familiarity with international accounting standards.
The role is available to Indonesian citizens only. The remuneration package will be competitive in the industry and includes employee's family medical cover.
