Action Contre la Faim – Indonesia Mission

Action contre la Faim / Action against Hunger (ACF) is a non-governmental, non-political, non-religious, non-profit organization. It was established in France in 1979 to deliver aid in countries throughout the world.

The aim of ACF is to save lives by combating hunger and diseases that threaten the lives of vulnerable children, women and men.


 

POSITION VACANCY

 

PROGRAMME COORDINATOR (1 position)

    Code : RJO/19/ADM/Programme Coordinator/XII/10

    Location : Yogyakarta

    Start date : a.s.a.p

    Duration of contract : 3 months (determined) with possibility of extension

 

Objective 1 : Analyse the political, economic, social, military and humanitarian context of the area :

Activities :

-          Collect and analyse information ;

-          Write monthly analytical reports of the context and transmit them to the head of mission and headquarters ;

-          Participate in working group meetings organized by NGOs and the United Nations.

 

Objective 2 : Supervise the advancement of programmes with respect to technical and budgetary plans (In collaboration with Programme Managers)  :

Activities :

-          Define the intervention strategy ;

-          Write narrative and budgetary project proposals ;

-          Check the advancement of programmes through regular field visits ;

-          Represent locally the association with donors for contract management follow-up.

 

Objective 3 : Coordinate the activities of the association with those of other players :

Activities :

-          Participate in general coordination meetings with the authorities ;

-          Supervise the transversal activities with different departments ;

-          Supervise programmes in the absence of  the technical coordinators.

 

Objective 4 : Guarantee the security of people present in the area (In collaboration with the Log Admin and the Head of Mission) :

Activities :

-          Identify, quantify and evaluate the risks ;

-          Follow and analyse the security context of the area ;

-          Participate in revising the security plan according to the evolution of the context ;

-          Ensure that the teams implement and respect the security plan ;

-          Validate the security plan or the changes made to it.

 

Objective 5 : Manage the executive staff members:

Activities :

-          Inform newcomers about the general and humanitarian context and the living conditions (In cooperation with Log Admin)

-          Check that all administrative documents are available ;

-          Check that breaks are taken regularly and that requests for a break are sent to the Head of Mission ;

-          Organize and head the weekly coordination meetings and inform the team about the context and security ;

-          Carry out appraisals of the staff members ;

-          Regularly remind the team members of the principles of stress control during team meetings (According to protocols)

-          If necessary, organize defusing sessions

 

Objective 6 : Manage & supervise the whole project

Activities :

-          Ensure the work flow between programme staffs and support staffs

-          Coordinate with related persons in capital

 

 

 

Diploma / Level of studies : Degree in political science or equivalent (preferably in Master degree)

Required skills : Good relational and communication qualities – Analytical aptitude – Writing skills – Experience in team support – Humanitarian experience – Good knowledge of English an Bahasa Indonesia
