Procurement and construction of bulk material handling and processingSystems for the power and mining industries seeks talented and experienced
Indonesian nationals to fill the following position in Jakarta:
 
Cost Engineering (1 Year Contract)
Purpose;
Develops original budgets, maintains the control budget, tracks commitments, estimates accruals, monitors the impact of changes and identifies trends and corrective or preventative actions to influence on-budget delivery of the project's objectives. Core accountabilities:
• develops the original budget using cost estimates time-phased against the baseline schedule;
• maintains the control budget, tracks commitments, estimates accruals and trends, applies escalation and foreign exchange considerations to forecast project cost;
• manages the project cost in alignment with accounting requirements and other applicable standards;
• oversees the work of external service providers in cost engineering;
• Aggregates project cost reports and analyses actual and forecast cost variances against the budget;
• Delivers structured and reliable reporting of cost to the project team, other internal functions and external stakeholders.

Cost Estimating (1 Year Contract)
Purpose;
Develops and maintains cost estimates for a defined scope of work and enables the conversion of cost estimates into control budgets. Core accountabilities:
• oversees the development and application of a consistent estimating basis for all components of the project estimate;
• oversees the work of external service providers in cost estimating;
• Incorporates assessment of risk impacts and cost uncertainty to establish project cost contingency levels.

Planning & Scheduling ( 1 Year Contract)
Purpose;
Develops and monitors plans (breakdown of work into its components) and schedules (detailed sequencing of activities and assignment of resources), develops baselines, monitors activity completion, identifies trends and corrective or preventative actions to influence on-time delivery of the project's objectives. Core accountabilities:
• integrates multiple plans and schedules, and monitors the interfaces and dependencies;
• oversees the work of external service providers in planning and scheduling;
• develops schedule range models to assess risks to the project and uncertainties in activity duration to derive a range of end dates for the project as a basis for the establishment of the project schedule contingency levels.

Project Controls (1 Year Contract)
Purpose;
Aggregates information from all Project Services sub-functions to deliver integrated analysis and reporting.
Core accountabilities:
• develops and monitors the consistent application of project work breakdown structures across the Project Services sub-functions, and maps these to other standard coding structure requirements (in support of benchmarking, program/portfolio management);
• oversees change management processes to validate change is correctly documented and consistently reflected in the cost forecast and project master schedule;
• oversees the work of external service providers in project control processes;
• measures project physical progress and applies earned value management techniques to assess project cost and schedule performance;
• Estimates and forecasts project resource demand on a full-time equivalent basis;
• Manages the aggregation of reporting inputs for monthly reporting and other internal and external reporting requirements.
 
Project Information Management ( 1 Year Contract)
Purpose;
Establishes procedures to validate project information is appropriately generated, transferred and stored to create a complete information asset which matches the physical asset that will be delivered to Operations. Core accountabilities:
• defines requirements for project document, data and model management and assessing compliance;
• oversees the work of external service providers in project information management;
• facilitates arrangements that enable BHP Billiton to retain independent ownership of project technical and management information.

Risk & Assurance ( 1 Year Contract)
Purpose;
Establishes procedures for risk management and quality assurance and facilitates and monitors compliance. Core accountabilities:
• provides tools for effective management of non-material project risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle;
• manages the interface with the Risk & Governance sub-function for the execution of risk management processes for material risks;
• Conducts quality assurance processes to validate appropriate project risk mitigation.
