Chemonics International, a global international development consulting firm (www.chemonics.com) seeks qualified Indonesian specialists for a USAID higher education program inIndonesia. The USAID Higher Education Leadership and Management project (HELM) is a 5 year program that aims to improve the academic performance of Indonesianhigher education sectors through analytical support for strategic planning andpolicy analysis and design of approaches for effective implementation of keyreforms across the education system.  We are looking for individuals whohave a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the worldwho can fill the following long term positions:

 

 

1. EDUCATION RESEARCH COORDINATOR

Collect data from a variety ofgovernment and Higher Education sources;

Support the project with presentationand analysis of data;

Work closely with technical teams toensure rigor and accuracy of data and background materials site for programwork.  

 


 

2. EDUCATION LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

Past experience supporting Higher Education leadership;

Develop the capacity ofeducation institutions to operate effectively and efficiently;

Experience at the higher education level required. 

 


3. UNIVERSITY AND BUSINESS SPECIALIST

Past experience developing and managing relationships between Indonesian universities and withregional and international universities or academic bodies. As well as partnerships with private sector entities.

Past experience withpartnerships involving education institutions required. Responsible forproviding general support, coordination, and on-the-ground trouble-shooting forthese institutional partnerships.

 


 

4. QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST

(we are seeking short term candidates for this position)

Past experience withquality assurance (including qualifications, licensing, accreditation, andgraduation requirements) at the university level.

Proven experience inundertaking activities aimed at enabling higher education institutions todevelop quality assurance approaches supportive of the sustained delivery and continuous improvement of quality teaching, research and service, particularly as it relates to ensuring the value and relevance of such programs to external stakeholders (i.e., private and public sector employers).

 

Qualificationsfor the technical positions (post no. 1 to 4) listed above are:

-         B.A./B.S. in higher education,education, or relevant field required; Master's degree preferred

-         Minimum 6 years' relevant experience

-         Proven experience developing andfostering public-private partnerships

-         Familiarity with Indonesian highereducation systems preferred

-         Experience working with internationaldonors or organizations preferred

-         Interest in working with amulti-cultural, international team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

-         Strong verbal and written communicationskills in English and Bahasa Indonesia

 

 

5.  ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT/RECEPTIONIST

Guest greeter, phone operator

Letter and memo drafting, provide document translation from Bahasa Indonesia to English andvice versa, as needed

Arrange appointments asneeded including transportation  and lodging bookings

Maintaining, keepingthe record and updating the administrative general filing system

Prepare official expenses, submit to finance department

Serveas back-up office manager as needed

 

Qualificationsfor the Administrative Assistant/Receptionist position noted above are:

-           At least 3-5 years administrative management experience, preferably with large-scale international projects.

-           Successful experience working in adiverse, face-paced environment.

-           Excellent computer and typing skills including, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook exchange email system, and desktop publishing software such as Adobe, Photoshop, and other similar programs. 

-           Versed in office administration dutiesincluding faxing, photocopying, answering phones, arranging meetings.

-           Bachelor's degree or 5 years administrative experience required.

-           Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesian required.

-           Experience in design and layout of reports and communications products highly preferred.
